Towards the end of March 2020, I evacuated my practical arts classroom and packed and distributed 300 bags of individual student work. Two weeks later we were distance learning, and I gave many of my students the option of making their own Covid-19 face masks and air filters. This was before they were being sold anywhere. I then coordinated the making of hundreds of face masks for our new school campus builders at Pinner Construction, so they could more safely continue work with limited Personal Protective Equipment. It felt good to be helpful in a time of helplessness.
